Responsibilities

  • Manage, negotiate and engage outside counsel and patent writers (including abroad)
  • Maintain existing patent portfolio, including ongoing prosecution around the world
  • Perform FTO analyses, including prior art searches, based on a deep understanding of the company’s technology
  • Proactively initiate the development of new IP
  • Assist inventors in writing disclosures
  • Oversee the preparation and prosecution of new patent applications
  • Manage trademark registration and maintenance
  • Evaluate and update the company’s IP strategy
  • Support IP-related due diligence activities
  • Support IP litigation
 

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in all key responsibilities
  • B.Sc in Engineering / Science, or an equivalent experience from a medical device company
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and independent
  • High level of English (speaking, writing and reading)
  • M.Sc - an advantage
